New slogan for the Watchtower Society "Polluting minds and the environment for over 100 years" I hope they really get nailed over this one.

Chemicals buried at WT Farms (WT ruining the earth)
by doinmypart init seems that the wt is guilty of illegally dumping printing chemicals (or as they like to say "ruining the earth") in upstate new york.
read the full articles from the news sites below.. "state officials are investigating chemical pollution found buried at an upstate new york property owned by the jehovah's witnesses organization.

I have a Nook Color and love it. I think the color version is better if you want to play games or read magazines. I subscribe to the Food network magazine on my Nook and it looks good and is easy to read. The new version comes with Netflix so you can watch movies on it. The last time I was in BN I had them update mine so I now have Netflix on mine but I haven't watched any movies on it yet. I was reading on it quite a often till I down loaded Angry Birds and got sidetracked.
The B&W version looks pretty cool also if you are just going read books. It's light and smaller.

A heartfelt "Thank You" to Simon, his family and to the all the mods
by Dagney inthe past few days i've been thinking about how life has changed since leaving the witnesses.
except for just a few, my former friends have been completely replaced by apostates.

All is well Dagney. Glad you had a good time at the Unitarian Church. And the nice thing is that they will never try to get you to go door to door peddling anything or even try to force you to believe something.
I'm heading out to my sisters in Riverside for Christmas Dinner right now. Might stop by the Mission Inn first if I have time.
I'm looking forward to getting together as soon as we can. Hopefully we can get the same group together and maybe a few more.
By the way I received one of the fruit gift packs from the Watchtower for Christmas. It was unmarked but I knew it came from them. When I tried to eat the dates they were made of wax and the fruit was rotten. So I figured with false date and rotten fruit it had to be from them.

watchtower feeding time
by ssn587 inhad a thought, yeah i know they come every now and then, of how it is that the wt really feeds the sheep, they are all captive in a pen and the gb is shoveling manure to feed them and they are eating it up only to get indigestion, and yet they want more of it, seems to me that after eating a lifetime of bs from the gb one would wtfu.
but no for some it will never happen as they have become acclimated to eating the bs that is feed them.
for those that have waken up and jumped the fence so to speak, they find that the grass is truly greener on the other side of the fence, and we have hope that those sitting atop the fence will see that..

I've never figure out why people stay with it so long. It is hard for me to understand why I did. For some I think it is like McDonalds. The food isn't great but you get the same thing anywhere you go. You can be lazy, you never have to think about what to order. You just say "I'll take a number 3" or whatever. If you eat there regularly I think the last thing you would want to do would be to investigate their ingredients. High sodium, high fat, chemicals, the slaughter houses... best to just listen to their commercials that tell you how much fun it is to eat the crap.
Some of the reasons witnesses sit on the fence so long are:
Fear of the world. They have been constantly told that there is no where else to go.
Many avoid questioning out of the fear of where it would lead and what would happen. Every Jdub knows any doubts expressed out loud can have serious consequences in this loving organization.
Ego is another reason. Leaving the Watchtower would involve admitting you were wrong and believed a lot of stupid childish ideas. Not an easy thing to do when you've spent your entire life strutting around telling everyone else that they wrong and you had all the answers.

I don't know how it will ever be possible stop wars as long as for profit corporations are allowed to make money of them and buy politicians with the money they make.

Text message from a bro at the hall I got this morning as I woke
by shakyground inwe miss you, hope to see you soon.
your dad will be wondering where you are at the resurrection.
love, bro.

I wonder if he wrote it real slow so he could count his first half hour of service time on you.
I think would send him a message back saying that resurrection into Watchtower World has about as much chance of happening as the generation that saw the events of 1914 not passing away did.
